Our client is seeking to appoint an experienced Payroll Administrator on a full-time permanent basis.The successful candidate will need to have a minimum of 2 years + experience processing a weekly and monthly payroll. Strong Excel skills are required for this role
Payroll Administrator Responsibilities
Ensuring the accurate and timely end to end processing of the bi-weekly payroll for the Company
Creating a merge document in excel using formulas to insert data.
Balancing timesheet hours against contract hours to ensure correct payment.
Administering third party deductions, i.e., Pension, Social Welfare, LPT
Completing control checks prior to transmitting the final payroll figures to the Bank(s)
Maintaining the payroll systems i.e., new employees, leavers, annual leave, absences etc., accurately and in line with legislative and company policies.
Responding to all payroll queries for employees.
Assisting the Finance Team as and when required.
Completion of various Social Welfare forms and casual dockets.
Adhere to Company policies and procedures.
Any other duties as reasonably requested by Management.
Weekly payroll submission based on fixed weekly wages for approximately 50 clients. (Small clients mainly with family members as employees).
Weekly payroll submission including spreadsheet calculations for gross pay from time records etc., in respect of approx. ten mid-small/ sized companies 20- 200 employees. (Reconciling anomalies, lodging bank file for payment, etc.)
Liaising with accountancy staff regarding the above and dealing with any employer/ employee queries.
Possess a high level of attention to detail and integrity.
Possess the ability to work under pressure / to deadlines.
Possess a strong work ethic and the ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative when required.
Be a proficient user of MS Office, particularly Excel – Advanced level required.
Have a strong Numerical Ability
Be able to work on a variety of Payrolls
Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in payroll administration – a strong focus on excel and numerical tasks
IPASS qualification desirable
Have a complete understanding of Irish PAYE & PRSI systems
