Payroll Specialist Job Summary:
Our client is currently recruiting for a Payroll Specialist to join our company based in Parkmore Business Park, Co.
General Function
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for coordinating the effective and controlled delivery of all company payroll. You will ensure timely and accurate administrative responsibility of the Time Management System (TMS). You will conduct a number of tasks to ensure an efficient and effective payroll service to all employees across the business. The individual in this role will need to demonstrate accuracy and with a knowledge of statutory payroll legislation being an advantage.
Payroll Specialist Main Duties
- Co-ordinating the processing & payment of weekly payroll;
- Issuing of payslips, payroll-related taxation, social welfare documents and other documentation;
- Timely resolution of employee payroll queries;
- Liaising with HR in relation to any employee detail amendments;
- Co-ordination of timesheets processing and management of the Time & Attendance within TMS including all absences;
- Inputting company absences related records in relation to annual leave, sickness, parental leave etc. on the time and attendance system;
- Preparation of weekly payroll reports.
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous payroll processing experience an advantage;
- Attention to detail and numeracy skills;
- Computer literate in Microsoft office applications, Excel being of particular importance;
- Technical knowledge of statutory payroll legislation – including calculation of SSP, SMP, SPP, PAYE, would be an advantage.
